FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Permanent lighting, explained.
Straightforward answers about the system, installation, service areas and getting an estimate.
What is permanent outdoor lighting?
It is a low-profile LED system installed along your roofline. The lights stay up all year and can display warm white, custom colors, patterns and scheduled scenes.
Can I use the lights for more than Christmas?
Yes. Choose warm white for everyday architectural lighting, team colors for game days or custom scenes for birthdays and holidays. You change the look in the app without changing the installed lights.
Are the lights noticeable during the day?
The lights sit in a low-profile track selected to coordinate with your soffit or fascia. Placement and track color are planned around your roofline to keep the installation discreet when the lights are off.
Which Utah counties do you serve?
Harper Lights serves Utah County, Salt Lake County, Wasatch County and Summit County. We are based in Heber City and install lighting for homes and commercial properties.
How much does permanent lighting cost?
Your estimate depends on the measured roofline, access, roof complexity and areas you want illuminated. Tell us your property address and whether you want the front, sides or full roofline included. We provide a free project-specific estimate.
What does the warranty cover?
23 years on the lights; 5 years on the power supply, controller, track and workmanship. These are not equal coverage periods.
Can you install lighting on a commercial building?
Yes. Harper Lights offers permanent lighting for storefronts, offices and other commercial properties. We review the building, mounting surfaces, power access and lighting goals before recommending a layout.
Do you offer financing?
Harper Lights does not currently offer financing. Ask for an estimate based on the areas you want illuminated so you can plan your project budget.
How long will installation take?
Installation time depends on the property, access and scope of the work. We discuss the expected schedule with you after reviewing the roofline. There is no single installation time that fits every home.
Do I need HOA approval?
Requirements vary by community. Check your HOA or architectural review requirements before installation. Ask Harper for layout and track-color information to support your review; we cannot promise approval.
